3 North Washington Square.

Dear Evvy.

Your letter of some time ago and your last about to be answered.

A letter from Mrs Shinn arrived at Washington Square yesterday, I recognized the handwriting, it has been forwarded to Zeed who is in Hartford. It is quite likely she will be there most of the summer [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] with

her father. The old gentleman appears to be in exceedingly bad health and she is afraid to leave him all alone up there. How ever if Zeed cant come up I shall have to come up alone if you could put me up for a week.

I don't know when it would be convenient for you but say some time after two weeks have elapsed. Kind rememberance to Mrs Shinn, and pat old Scutney on the shoulder for me.

Blair Shipman and a lot of others
