does not take six days to send a letter from Toulon to Paris. I am afraid they were hanging around the Bankers Trust Co for several days.

I have a little present from Leed that I am sending you by parcels post and I hope it will not take a week to get there.

We had a very gentle winter in New York. All our family were very well. Lenna has grown a lot and Leed has put on quite a little flesh for her. She doesnt seem to like it but most of the rest of us do. 

I hope that all your family are well, and that your father is beginning to stir up the pike at [[??]] if it is not too early. 

I am going to take a small fishing trip with Slidell next month. but we shall go no great distance from Paris it will not be an adventure like the "Gapean" 

I hope to see you both sometime somewhere soon.
