Dear Leon,
As the shirts fit I have just done up some more. They may not be so very good but the ones from Exeter have been worn very little. O how my heart is wrung looking over these things that hewas so special about. Isnt it a bitter thing that we had to lose him. And so hard to think I must try to go on without him. Maybe twenty or thirty years. It will seem as if I never had him.

It was wise of you to go to the country for the winter. I wish we were also. This old barn is haunted. Without the heart of it it is just agony to be here.

I shall do away with the house somehow as it isnt possible to go on under the present regime. How will it be possible to clean up after Roosvelt. I have no illusions for the future prosperity of the country.

Mrs Force is coming in this afternoon. I hope to start making frames ready.

Much love to Viette and daughter.

Yrs Edith (Glackens)

MRS WILLIAM please.
