finished although I must paint the ground over again. I haven't varnished [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] it yet as I wish to wait until the paint has dried. I will let you know just as soon as [[strikethrough]] you [[/strikethrough]] I varnish it, and will be only too pleased to show it to you. Hampden  was awfully decent to give up so much of his time to posing for me. Especially  as he had so much to do for himself.

What am I do do with the portrait after it is quite completed? Where shall I send it?
