Oct 19th 1938 -

Dear Ned,

Your letter of last week is at hand. I too, have no wish to be acrimonious, although it is beside the point.

I should be very glad indeed to look at the files at any time. [[strikethrough]] You know that already I am acquainted with a cross section of the work. [[/strikethrough]] files as you suggests.

Page 594. Mag. of Art Oct 1938 violates Paragraph #1. of your letter #1 to me. [[strikethrough]] It also endeavours, in a cleverly misleading manner, to make it appear that I agreed with you & Kroll about Harding and McCleary. This proves again the the charge of suppression of minority opinion made in my last letter.[[/strikethrough]] I hope you spank the authors.

A full and truthful account of the whole working's of the World's Fair jury is something many people are eager to hear. [[strikethrough]] This is the democratic principle. May I urge the Section with its entreƩ to the Mag of Art to square itself with the artist, - with all the artists, not just one or two of the winners.

I'd like to ask you to furnish the name & address (Pandolfini?) of the [[/strikethrough]] my favored choice I am sure this artist would like to know.

[[right margin]] May I ask the section to furnish me the name & address (Pandolfine) - my choice - I am sure he would appreciate knowing [[\right margin]]

[[left margin]] could the Section do something it as line? [[/left margin]]

Yours sincerely
Reginald Marsh

Transcription Notes:
Lots of strikethrough and margin notes. Arrow from last paragraph to right margin note. Left margin note aligned with second to last paragraph. It seems probable that the artist names should match, but it is unclear to me what their common value should be.
