TREASURY DEPARTMENT
PROCUREMENT DIVISION
WASHINGTON
November 14, 1938

Mr. Reginald Marsh
4 East 12th Street
New York City

Dear Reggie:

I have your letter of November 12. I object very much to your publishing my correspondence to you. It was written to you as a personal friend and I think it would be a very great breach of etiquette on your part to do so and I beg you not to do it. I have not answered your letters as I think I have said everything I have to say and your point of view is so diametrically opposed to mine that I don't think we can get anywhere by further correspondence.

Sincerely yours,
Edward Bruce
Chief of Section of Fine Arts
