art space
regarding color announcements

If you decide on a color reproduction for your announcement, it is of the utmost importance that you provide us with a high quality transparency. Please note that art space will be involved in the choice of the image. A 4"x 5" transparency is best, however, a 35mm slide will work too.

Your color reproduction can only be as accurate as your transparency. In the case of sculpture or shaped work where the background would also be included in the reproduction, it is especially important to consider the quality of the background. If your lighting is inaccurate, you could end up with an off color tone that would not enhance your card.

When you present your color transparency to us, please specify (verbally and in writing), the aspects of the color that are most important to you to have brought out in the color separation (ie: contrast, intensity of certain colors, etc.). We will then communicate this to our printer, and this will minimize the possibility of error in the color separation.

Although we will make every effort to ensure the quality of your color reproduction, Art Space will assume no responsibility if the ultimate outcome does not please the artist. The artist has the right to view that color key (prior to printing), and ARt Space will notify the artist when the color key will be available for viewing.

In the case where the artist is assuming responsibility for the graphic design of the announcement (in consultation with Art Space), the artist will provide necessary transportation of materials to and from the printer.
