Dear Reggie,

How are you doing?

I got that tough letter from you, cool down,I'm still probably you most faithful and truest buddy you'll ever have.Things have being busy lately, especially since I last wrote you.A couple of months ago I had an operation on my colon,no cancer but got rid of a questionable cyst.Next we've finally resettled in a 3 story building that we bought and turned into combined studios and living. That means we've been running between Connecticut and 2 places in New York city. We've sublet our place over on 26th street Also both Nene and I had to keep our exhibition and lecture schedules going at the same time.In fact Nene is going to China in March and that has really taken up a lots of her time.

I got the message about your wanting a photograph of your self potrait.I have one but it's deep down in some of these unpacked boxes,as soon as I get it I'll get it to you. I guess I told you earlier that I've formed a non-profit Foundation and will donate my collection, including your work via it to the new museum that is being built in New Orleans, the Ogedon which will have a permanent gallery for Nene and my family. So on that long list of collections you're in you can add the Ogedon Museum,New Orleans,La.

I hope by now I hope you've cooled down and accepted the fact that we're still on the same page, including the 140 some odds years that we've lived.

In fact at my recently opened show at Stella Jones gallery your name and work was discussed most favorably.

Well I'll get back to working on settling things in our nes [[new]] place, hey maybe you and Johnny can make it to our opening on November 4th
Take care and go do a "Great Reggie Painting"!
Sincerely,
B
Benny
