By direction of Maj. Gen'l Howard Commissioner, &c. these papers are respectfully referred to Bvt. Maj. Gen'l Gillem Asst. Comr. of the Dist. of Miss. to ascertain as far as practicable what compensation Dr. Hussey is entitled to receive for his services in the case; the amount to be paid to Dr. Hussey by the Chief Disbursing Officer of the Dist of Miss. whose accounts therefor will be approved by the Commissioner.
