List of Claims by Freedmen.

The following is a list of our Names, and the time we served in the Freedmens Hospitals. The kind of services rendered, and rates of pay per month. That we never received any pay for said service, but what was obtained for some of us by Dr. Hussey, for this time of April 1st 1865. to August 1st 1865. The pay Rolls were made out regularly every 2 months, from January, 1. 1864, to the time of August, 1st 1865. When Dr. G. St. C. Hussey relieved Dr. Gauthier that we were employed by Dr. Miles and continued in the service as employed, until the time measured of our discharge.
We do hereby vouch for each other, as having served the respective times named below.
We do further hereby empower Dr. Geo St. C. Hussey, our attorney to present our claims and collect the same and it over to us or our assigns.
We take pleasure in saying that we have always found Dr. Hussey, a true friend of Freedmen, and one in who we have the most implicit confidence.
