Howard Hospital 
There are eighty eight patients in the Hospital: they are mostly old and decrepit freedmen who have become entirely unable to work; a few are admitted at times suffering from some temporary complaint but are discharged as soon as they are able to go to work. The sanitary condition of the Hospital is very good and the utmost care is being exercised at present to prevent the introduction of contagious disease.

Relief. 
The issue of provisions under the "Joint Resolution of Congress" has undoubtedly relieved many who would have been compelled to apply for admission to one or other of the above named institutions.
