Number of Freedmen The Sub. Asst. Comr. estimates the number of freedmen under his charge for the month of June to have been five thousand (5,000)

Their Condition No change in the condition of the freedmen of this Sub District has been observed by the Sub. Asst. Comr. The general tendency is toward improvement. 

Sick, Old, and Infirm A few cases of this class are reported in this Sub District among the freedmen, also a number among the white people.
