some days prior to the complaint; and not in manner as alleged in said Day’s statement- All the circumstances connected with this charge; and which are to voluminous to be here related; lead me to believe, and to remark at the time, that it was a continued plan to make some money out of me- The parties interested; as shown by said Days statement believing that I had plenty 

I also requested at the time, that the charges be made so that I could make my defense - stating that I could prove my absence from the house at the time the act was alleged to have been committed - All of which was refused- This charge was made in April and I did not leave Washington until June following - thus giving ample time for the law to take cognizance of the same - Notwithstanding, that this is a charge easy made, and hard to defend; I request an impartial investigation of the same
