FINDING.
The Court, having maturely considered the evidence adduced, finds the accused, Colonel H.W. Barry, 8th United States Colored Heavy Artillery, as follows:

Of the 1st Specification, "Not Guilty."
Of the 2d Specification, "Not Guilty."
Of the 3d Specification, "Not Guilty"
Of the 4th Specification, "Guilty."
Of the 5th Specification, "Guilty,"
Of the CHARGE, "Guilty."

SENTENCE.
And the Court does therefore sentence him, Colonel H.W. Barry, 8th United States Colored Heavy Artillery, "To be reprimanded in General Orders."

II.. The findings and sentence of the Court in the above case of Colonel H.W. Barry, 8th U.S. Colored Heavy Artillery, are approved. The accused is found guilty of conduct prejudicial to good order and military discipline, and disrespect towards his superior officer. An officer of his high rank should not need to be reminded of his duty to sustain by his example and authority the very principles he has aided in subverting. Let this admonition be sufficient for the future. 
Colonel Barry will be released from arrest and restored to duty.
