General:
Believing that you are in your administration a man impartial, and desirous of having honest and upright gentlemen in your employ I feel it a duty I owe to you to present certain facts for your consideration which reflect seriously on the character of Henry W. Barry (late) Col. of the 8. U.S. Col. Arty.(Hvy) and Brevet. Maj. Gen. U. S. Vols. now agent for your Bureau at Goodman, Miss.
