Vols. stating that Joseph Wiggins (colored) 12 years old is held by one Raddick Carney. The father of J. Wiggins (col'd.) has applied to the office of the Freedman's Bureau, the officers has thus far been unable to procure the release. With the remark if the Com'r. is unable to effect a remedy will be kind enough to return the complaint. |

States that a Southern lady Miss Sarah Barnwell of Robertsville S.C. desires to teach colored children. Recommends that she be appointed teacher by some of the Northern Societies. |
