Requests Gen'l Howard will take such action as may seem most appropriate for her relief. |

Desires to know if the muster out of Gen'l Foster will interfere with his leave of absence, if so, asks for a position in the Bureau at Washington. Refers to Senator Dixon Hon. Gid. Wells and others. |

Has in his possession two mules held as property of the U.S. They were formerly property of the So-called Confederate States, and until July 1865 were held by one B. G. Morgan, who claimed them on account of a debt due him from the C.S. General Gregg in Com'd of Lynchburg in July 1865. ordered them to be turned over to the writer for the U.S. Morgan now brings suit to recover them, before civil court. Request Genl. Howard will have the proceeding quashed &c. |

Forwards comn of Mayor Hugh Latham of Alexandria, Va enclosing copy of his comn to the City Council relative to Circular #10 Bureau R.F.&A.L. which was referred to a Committee, who requests that the Bureau continue its support of indigent freedom who by the incidents of the War have been thrown into the city. With recommendation that rations be issued as before, to be issued by the Mayor. |
