Returns letter of General Samuel Thomas states that Champ Carter (col'd) makes complaint about the apprenticing of his sisters child asking for an investigation and report. With report of Lt. Sears that Champ Carter has been making complaints and he gave it a thorough investigation and decided that it was to the interest of all concerned that the Girl should remain with party to whom she is apprenticed. |
