But few complaints have been made in this Parish and these were amicably adjusted, Some trouble is however anticipated at the close of the crop season, nearly all the freedmen having made verbal contracts with their employers in opposition to the advice of the Agent- The consequence is, that they may be discharged in a moments notice, and as they do not keep any account of their affairs they will as a general thing, find that there is but little if anything due them and in many instances, that they are in debt.

It is thought that on account of the continual rains but one third of a crop will be rasised in this Parish. All cases brought before the Bureau have generally been settled in a manner satisfactory to all parties concerned.
