General,
I have the honor to state in the name of the Committee on col'd Schools, appointed & fully empowered by the Board of Directors of Public Schools of the City of New Orleans, that in accepting the transfer of the Colored Schools operating under the patronage of the Educational Bureau R.F. and A.L., we do so in good faith and with the understanding that the Teachers therein shall be retained so long as they comply with the established rules of the Board regarding qualifications and deportment - but that in the event of any charges being preferred against any of them, the Board of Directors will notify the Bureau of the day and time of investigating into the truth or falsity of such charges, in order that it may be represented at such investigation.
