The "Black Laws" Now therefore, we the undersigned, Colored Ministers of the city of Louisville, State of Kentucky for ourselves & congregations, and teachers of Freedmen's Schools, in accordance with instructions, from a Convention of Colored citizens, this day convened, to humbly petition you, to continue the existence of the Bureau in this State, until such time as, a healthy public sentiment, may justify its discontinuance, and your petitioners as the duty bound, will ever pray, etc. etc. Wm.
