Hugh L Bond, for services in prosecuting claims for Maryland State bounty, I have the honor to [[crossed-out]] state [[/crossed-out]] inform you that the subject has been laid [[crossed-out]] fully [[/crossed out]] before the Commissioner who has directed me to [[crossed out]] inform you [[/crossed-out]] note that the [[crossed-out]] fees [[/crossed-out]] compensation of Judge Bond in these cases should be regulated by the [[crossed-out]] Asst of [[/crossed-out]] scale of fees prescribed by Joint Resolution of Congress approved July 26, 1866, as set forth in Paragraph 1 of the enclosed Circular no. 1 current series from this Bureau - the fees in each claim to be deducted from the amount issued in settlement thereof.
