Referring to the Maryland State bounty of $300., due Wm Deshon, late Pvt. Co. I. 9th U.S.C.T. states that the claim has been collected by H.L. Bond, in whose hands the amt. is now held: that in order to the payment of claimant it will be necessary to him (Knomer) to certify to his identity that Judge Bond will pay claimant but $260.28, instead of 280.28 due him as per agreement with the Bureau, and asks if he shall recognize Judge B's deductions by giving the claimant the certificate of identity.

States that Judge Bond has not complied with Genl Howard's instructions to turn over to him (Knomer)the funds, nor has he paid any attention to his requests for his decision in this matter.
