She (Margaret) then went with Stevens to Washington, and on the way down to Washington Stevens told Margaret that when they arrived in Washington she (Margaret) must tell the second auditor that she was perfectly satisfied with what Mr Stevens had done, when she arrived at Mr French's office, she (Margaret) acting under, Mr. Steven's instructions, told Mr French she was satisfied, Whereupon Mr French remarked that if the woman was satisfied, he was satisfied and would have nothing more to do with it. 
Margaret paid her own expenses to Washington and return. She now claims that sixty-dollars less legal fees are due her.
