my remarks in a previous letter concerning the loss of Discharges by Mr. Hildreth, would seem to explain in some measure their object. Maj Bolenius is not altogether such an Agent as I would prefer, but I have not yet observed anything in his conduct which would lead me to criminate him. There is to me sympathy attached to his being a soldier who has lost his arm in Battles.
