In specification 3d. he charges the General with allowing the officer to be the rendezvous of claim Agent runners.  That is wholly untrue, and I doubt if the General ever knew of one being there.  No runners came to the Office only on errands the same as we send our messengers to their Offices, but none ever to my knowledge made a practise of hanging around there.

The want of time prevents my going through the whole catalogue in the same way, the whole thing is a malicious slander intended for injury and not that justice might be done and wrong righted. -
