In reply to your communication of this date, I have the honor to state that while on a special inspecting tour in Yazoo County recently, I had occasion to stay three days at the residence of Lieut. D.M. White, at Yazoo City, and while there, had an opportunity of observing the manner in which the building rented by him as Agent in the Freedmen's Bureau, was being occupied.
Lieut. White and family used one room and a kitchen; Mr. Albert Inge - Lieut White's clerk - used one room, and one room was used as an office. This took
