   I inspected the condition of the Quartermaster, and Commissary Dept's at that Post, and as far as I was enabled to learn, found everything connected therewith in good condition, and the business of the office conducted property and promptly, with due regard to the interests of the service.
   I found Mr. Wales, the author of the communications referred to me, still at Lauderdale, but not in charge of the Orphan Asylum, he having been relieved by the Society, and succeeded by Mr. Read.  I questioned him relative to the contents of his letters, but found that he had no specific charges to make against Lieut D.M. White, Asst Sub. Comr. of that District.
