By your kind consideration, I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt, this day, of your appointment dated Washington March 12th 1868, creting me "a Disbursing Officer in the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands" "to take effect March 22nd 1868," also hereby to accept the same.

Hoping that I may prove faithful to the trust this reposed in me.
