Transmits papers relative to the investigation of the loss of discharges from that office - No information on the subject could be obtained from Annapolis, as the Comptroller declined every request made by this Bureau. Has, written to several colored persons to whom the discharges belonged, but has received a replay from one only (Mr Geo Grier) who states having given up his receipt & which cannot be found - States that the reports of Mr Hildreth & Maj.
