No valuable papers of this nature have been received during the quarter.

There was one Pension Certificate in hand on Dec. 31st, 1867. three (3) have been received since, and all have been delivered to the owners.

The following, designated Person and Articles have been transported during the quarter: -
1 Agent and 47 Packages of Miscellaneous Stores for which ten (10) Bills of Lading and two (2) Transportation Orders have been issued.

Schools.

The Report of Wm. H. Day Supt. of Schools is very gratifying. The opposition to the establishment of schools in Md. seems fast decreasing, but one case of violence having occurred Viz. 
Assault upon a Teacher at Chespeake City, Cecil Co. The case is before the Courts and there us a disposition to do justice.
