Dearest Phil,

As you know so well, I could not give the impression that I would be a critic as a contributing editor. For myself I do not believe that one who writes about art needs to adopt such a restrictive guise. As ever, I would simply want to be myself.

As you know, I usually offer writing to you alone. No problem there. No Vogue-ishness. When, on two occasions in the past two years, I did submit material to "Mislip-" of Art Americanizers, it was whimsically done to test her interest and possibly, to gain a different credit. In the former instance, after a rapid reading, she expressed a desire to "pirate" my theme for an entire issue while not being able to use my "aged" two year old copy - aged by her intended elay. (Now, you have to admit that she responded whimsically.) Lately, as I reported to you previously, "Misslip-" offered to reduce the "education" article to a synoptic editorial. Then, I begged the lady to stop "stoning" my "credibility gap" and forget it.

Mah pearnoia permits me to believe that the lady vendetta-ed from a time (prolonged hot Summer, 1966) when I refused to serve her little spouse by posting a recently purchased lamp aggregation of mine in the fellow's new suite of offices. At the time, Howard had "hot lips" for my name, etc.. His secretary abused Sonja by telephone. Theyin, Ah aysked

Some words in last paragraph seem to be "dialect" - imitation of a southern US accent.
