Phil,
Thank you for the book about antique glass. Soon, I hope to have time to examine it.
John Weber told me of your interest to write an article about "cool white etc." for the Sunday Times. Yesterday, I began to prepare a detailed letter to you about the three different attempts for the Dwan but Sonja stopped me with the censure that what I would provide would be misunderstood as communication and generally unwelcome. As I thought about her comment, I came to agree.
I do recognize your substitute but similar proposed dedication to Hopper because of his little Yale (?) picture, but I still prefer to remember Roy's painting particularly when he and Dorothy are newlywed.
By the way, I am supposed to write an article about the perennial vested fantasy of an American art avant-garde for an issue of a Japanese magazine to be devoted to my effort (one of a series to be called Pioneers of the Sixties). ("Gravel Gertie", known locally as Bob Smithson, is not even invited).

Best regards,
Flav.
