Dear Mr. Wagstaff,

This print of the diagonal, although slightly darker than my other one, is almost satisfactory. Its the only one which I have left now. I can't afford to have more copies made before January Fifteenth. I think that it might be better anyhow to have your photographer, who is much more capable than I am and has better equipment than mine, take another photograph when you install the diagonal. You may also get a more satisfactory background on the print than the mottled wall of my workroom.
