Dearest Mel and Lor-

        Such an exciting letter from you and all the good feeling swelling up in us with all the additional notes from loved ones.  We sure need to have some of those good ole parties out here- the only jug buddies I've found yet are Wilber and Jessie Wheeldin and they're from the east natch, and used to sitting around with a bottle on Sat. nite- lots of good records too-you sure will enjoy meeting them.-fine pad too. You'll just have to come out next summer for vacation and get yourselves a recoinortre too-we've been looking further into commercial work too and you'd be amazed what is possible-friends have been looking into it of Charlie as a source of income- occasional work like Vanguard-and its turned up some very interesting things which I'M sure you get even on a full time basis.  You've just got to come to this part of the country-its incrediable. YES, we had a heat -wave last week- in the 90's all week - shorts and bermudas all day, sweaters added at nite-and you can wear them comfortably everywhere- banks, shopping etc-amazing.  Martha Wheelding and the girls went for a long weekend at the beach with the girl scouts and came back all browned up-  it just don't make
