one was going on except by TV or Radio-we stayed up until after Stevenson and IKe had spoken- what a commentary on the Dem. party contradictions, when all they carried was the South and not even all of that in the Pres. tallies.  Your remarks about folks figuring out how to move sounded awfully good- haven't got too much of the picture out here yet except of course the same fear, confusion and paralyisis [[Paralysis]] gripping some and yet an air of confidence [[strikethrough]] as- [[/strikethrough]] and newness reflected in the paper here as different from the Daily. No, we don't get anything comparable to NY papers and would much appreciate clippings like the one you sent.  Folks papers seem numerous here- all kinds of local ones. We're including Charlie's first interview- we'll have to tell you about it in detail when we get together- it had many humerous [[humorous]] aspects- a young Negro woman interviewed him for it and you can tell from the article that she took down almost verbatim what we said instead of making a story out of the conversation- I particularly like that "Harlem minister's daughter" bit- people will be looking for me to be folks....
