REPUBLIQUE DE COTE D'IVOIRE
MAN - Danseuses acrobatiques Gueré

Dear Lucy and Charles,
Well just one more week of these insane contradictions and I'll be home. French speaking Africa is truly a trip. The African has been trained to think he is inferior to the great french culture - therefore you speak french or you ---. The french treat Am. blacks like the plague of the earth. We are richer than they are and that hurts. Still no chance for a women here accept within the acceptable context of being a market woman or a piece of fancy french pastery, Am in the lap of luxury which is boring me to death. Staying in Africa's answer to Walk Disney. Am on the 12th floor with a magnificent view of the streets surrounding the hotel. The french should be proud. My sarcasm is increasing with age. N.Y. looks like paradise.

[[inside a hand drawn box]] They want to turn the Ivory Coast into the African Riviera. All profits to the French!

Love H.
