Dear Lucy,

Just a brief note. Saw Ingrid for a while tonight and had an urge to write - even though there is no news whatsoever. Thought you'd be amused by this old museum stationary.
Spending relatively uneventful days swimming in the morning and working in the afternoon. See my friend occasionally - in fact rather infrequently - but I'm getting involved in new work and am trying to seek out new people outside of the art world. No plans for traveling - just wasting here with the rest.

Hope the writing is going well away from the N.Y. pressure. As you can see I'm feeling very mellow so this letter is about as exciting as a parker house roll or table salt - but I wanted you to know I was thinking of you. I've enclosed the announcement for an anti-war computer animation piece I'm doing for a sign in Times Square. It is a lot of work - very meticulous but keeps my brain alive in the heat. Oh yes - if you see any postcards of pounding surf, rocks & sea scapes -
