Dear Mrs Cahill,

Thank you again so much for taking the time this week to show me your lovely Arshile Gerky painting. I appreciate most sincerely your cooperation and interest in my research on Gorky, and I gained a great deal of perspective on Gerky and the early 1940s from our conversation.

I enclose a check for $2.75 for the photograph, and thank you again for making this so convenient. I am returning as well your copy of the Princeton Gerky folder, after having copied it.

I hope you will enjoy reading the enclosed article on Gerky and the summers at Crooked Run Farm. I am sorry the illustrations are so foggy, and the editor confused a couple of the photos in the order they appear.

Again, very many thanks for your kind interest. With best regards,

Most sincerely,
Jim Jordan
