I was very glad to hear from you yesterday. It takes almost a week for me to get a letter, I am so far away. I think of you and Clara often, though and I enjoy your pictures which you gave to me for a surprise. My how I would like to see [[strikethrough]] y [[/strikethrough]] my 5 year old girls. Did you have a good birth day? How do you like your scooter.

I am sending you a picture of me. What do you think of the uniform.? Isn't it funny?
