Dear Mother: 

Thanks ever so much for the handkeys and stockings - both needed! The hankeys are very pretty, & stockings good color -

I'm all out of the infirmary, and quite well again - by the way, a fissure isnt the same as a fistula - the former is my trouble, very common and not particularly serious. Seems to be OK now.

Ruby just came in to say that at last Willy has done something while on the "toidy" - it has inspired him with such awe before that he wouldn't perform. He is quite active now - doesn't really crawl, but gets over the ground. He tries to feed himself with a spoon - sits in his highchair and gets banana from head to foot.
