day. I haven't had a chance to be with myself for years and I'm exultant that no one can intrude on my thoughts. I've just read the "Unvanquished" by Howard Fast. A book so simply written that a child would be as moved as I am. 

Stalingrad has lived in my soul as with many of us these awful long days [[strikethrough]] yet [[/strikethrough]] and this book's story of Washington and our own Revolutionary battle against the British and their hireling Hessians intensifies the lack of distinction I feel between Stalingrad's defenders and our own American sisters and brothers.
