Aunt Mary let me stay with her for the past four nights and made me biscuits and popovers, and muffins. If any one wants to give me a cookbook, it might be useful. It would be nice if you would write Aunt Mary because she thinks so much of you. She is giving up her position at the bank to live with a friend who is dying of cancer. So that accounts for everything. She would be pleased to hear from you. Incidentally the friend is wealthy and has settled a trust fund on Aunt Mary, so her future is secure. But she loves her work and hates to give it up.

I'm glad you liked your things. Did everybody else? Those cuff links I sent papa and Ross will be useful here if they don't like them. I'm glad Ross, Jr., is going to have a brother or sister. The more the better if they can be taken care of. Hope everything goes all right with Ruth; it ought to be easier this time.

Had a letter from Helen and will write her soon. I'm awfully busy and also want to help Aunt Mary when she starts to move which will be next week. It was nice you could be with Helen for Christmas and have such a good time. Have all the good times you can because you certainly have earned them. I'll write more about the apartment when I have time. Meanwhile a great deal of love to you.

Betty
