Dear Keith:
I cannot tell yu how embarrassing of is for me to begin my frightfully belated letter to you with an apology for not having written sooner. But when you well read of my many predicaments you will forgive me.

Up to the time of Paul's return from Europe I had hoped to "get out" of exhibiting this season, but as soon as I got in touch with Paul my hopes were dismally smashed. There was nothing I could do about it. "Orders" had to be carried out and an exhibition had to be gotten ready. So I pitched in with all my might to finish some of the pictures that I was brooding over, and the framing problem too had to be solved. I ordered frames for some of the canvases and "Doctored" out some frames I had, for the balance of my canvases. I succeeded well I think in sending out fifteen - and nearly all large canvases.
