telephoned I certainly would have declined the "honor". Anyhow I hope it will not be too late for me to join you, but I remember that your plans were to stay down in Florida until the middle of May and so I hope my enforced postponement of my trip will not cause you any inconvenience or disappointment.

I haven't been in the gallery since the opening day of my exhibition - but they tell me the attendance is splendid and visitors are enthusiastic and praising.

I am sending you herewith some reviews and as soon as I am able to get some of the art magazines I will send them on too, or perhaps I will bring them along.

I am so happy to tell you that Frances is feeling much better and as you said, I can well leave her in care of my sturdy boy and wonderful daughter Joy.

Meanwhile I am getting down to work again and have already several paintings
