for my next show. Looking ahead, am I not?, but that is the only way it seems. I cannot tell you with what pleasure I am looking forward to my visit with you. I know it will be a grand holiday and vacation. I really deserve a little rest. I worked hard this winter and have been in the harness steadily since 1941 - exhibiting every year since - six successive exhibitions. Quite a record!

And now I anticipate a lot of fun as a result of the Pioneer of American Modern Art or Pioneers of Modern Art in America; i.e. those who worked in that spirit and idiom from 1910 to 1918. The pictures I will have in this exhibition are beautifully framed and my drawings too. My little sculptures will be displayed in a glass case. I hope you will get to see this exhibition.

I suppose it will be wise for me to make train reservations as soon as possible, and so probably next Monday or Tuesday I will arrange matters.

With kindest regards and best wishes in which my family joins me. I am

Affectionately yours

Max
