Dear Keith and Edna:

I meant to write much sooner that this, but somehow my effort to catch up a bit with my new problems in painting consumed most of my time and energy and left me quite worn by the end of the day. But I made up  my mind not to let this afternoon pass without at least a short note to you.

I was so glad to know that you had accomplished so many things around the house-I should say, "little palace." I guess you were right in the first place to want to remove the wall. I think of better so after all. The approach in the house is not broken up-nor is it obstructed by the growth of the snarled "bougain villa."- lovely flower on the outside but treacherous and forbidding inside.
