I was in the Gallery last Saturday. Paul has not yet returned, but his son (Alexander) is expected later this week. Florence is really wonderfully capable - gifted with tact and excellent business judgement. Her loyalty is really exemplary.

I supposed you read about the Carnegie exhibition and the awards. You know that institution is "politically" in the lead. They distribute their "plums" most cunningly....
Now I did not send my painting for consideration by the jury - (some jury) - for any award. Yet they pinned the 4th mention on me. I immediately returned the award. If it weren't for Paul I wouldn't exhibit there at all - as I did not for many years and for the same reason as now.
