if I mentioned in my last: that we concluded, in relation to the Alston Bust, to purchase the original model by Clevenger, the one most approved of by Alston himself, at the price of $200- Mrs Clevenger returned to this country after the death of her husband in great want, and we determined instead of ordering a Marble Bust at 500, to aid Mrs C in her distressing situation, to purchase the model, which she had brought with her at a price that we should have to pay had we given an order for the same had Clevenger been living -
Should there be any Documents, other than what I send you, that you think would forward our views on the subject of the Elgin Marbles, or the general interests of the Academy, that [[strikethrough]] you can think of [[\strikethrough]] may occur to your mind let me know.
