General- We have the honor herewith to transmit claim against the U.S. through Genl B P Runkle 45th Infy U.S.A. and to state that we have repeatedly and urgently called the attention of Genl R - to this, and only succeeded in once getting his presence at our office, and there R was totally unfit to perform any duty, but promised to return when he could be in a condition fit for gentlemen to associate with - [[Fine?]] the claim is small, just the amount being justly due us, we believe it is only necessary to have it properly brought before the Department, for us to receive [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] our just dues.
